Because QMK and VIA do not support per-key RGB currently, the Q1 doesn't support it currently either. However, we have heard that some third-party developers are also working on the per-key RGB support for QMK now so there is a possibility of supporting it in the future. Although QMK doesn't support per-key RGB, it already has some pretty nice light effects built-in.
