For the K Pro series(K8 Pro, K6 Pro, and K2 Pro), please refer to this link for a solution.
For the regular K series, please try the following solution:
(1) Please try a different device and check if it works in cable mode.
(2) Make sure your device's software is installed and up-to-date.
(3) Try connecting your keyboard directly to your computer, bypassing any USB hubs.
(4) Check the power indicator status when you plug in the charging cable and slide the toggle to 'Cable' mode:
-
(a) If the indicator light is red but the keyboard does not work, please try a wall charger for about 1 day to bring the keyboard back to life.
-
(b) If the power indicator is green but the keyboard does not work, please try to factory reset your keyboard by holding fn (or fn1) +Z +J for 4 seconds. If it does not help, please try updating your keyboard firmware (Keychron firmware).
*If the keyboard does not type and has no backlight after finishing the firmware update, you can try the Special Instructions for Firmware Update (for K2, K3, K4, and K8).
-
(c) If the indicator does not light up (no red or green flash), there could be something wrong with the charging cable or the loose battery connection inside the keyboard. To solve this problem, please use a different charging cable and test again. If the problem remains, please disassemble the keyboard and try reconnecting the wires to the PCB and the battery. (You can find the disassembling guide on our official website here.)
