The QMK keyboard doesn't have Apple Special Protocol. It is not the same as Fn on mac.
You can use Command + Control + Spacebar to open the emoji & symbol box.
Holding the Fn key by itself on Mac should bring up an emoji selection box. It doesn't work on the QMK keyboard.
