It is recommended to use a palm rest so that your hands don't have to touch the bottom edge of your keyboard and prevent your keyboard from being worn out as fast.
The paint on the bottom left edge has started to dull compared to the rest of the keyboard, most likely because of the more frequent contact with my hands. Do you have a solution for this?
